I can't drive over or next to any piece of water without being curious if there's fish there. I have never gotten into an accident because of the distraction but I have done some dumb things.
When I see pictures like this I always think maybe it was just another guy wondering if there was fish in the river.
Dude, absolutely nailed it!
ReplyDeleteFor better or worse, I think we're all wired that way.
I figured most of us could relate.
DeleteHahaha - this conversation is had every single time we drive over the Etowah River near my house! But in return, all my kids habitually cheer when we cross "The River!!!!"
ReplyDeleteMy kids are used to it by now, they just ask that I stop bugging them to look as well.
DeleteGuilty as charged Kevin. Throw in old age and you've got a recipe for disaster.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could stop even if I tried.
DeleteGUILTY. Not of any accidents, but I cannot help but look at the water I pass, and try to decipher quickly as I drive by.
ReplyDelete....I even look at puddles.
I've seen some good size fish come out of what some people call a puddle.

ReplyDeleteAny fisherman with an ounce of curiosity can relate to story. I never cross a bridge without checking out the stream or river below. Thanks for sharing
If you don't look you'll never know.
DeleteEvery once in a while you find a car or truck in the river. Distracted driving?
ReplyDeleteI do a double take every time. 1, to see if I can get a kayak in it. 2, in not can I wade it.
ReplyDeleteI just got a kayak last year and I'm starting to think that way.
