I once dropped my camera while wading and didn't realize it. 10 minutes later I went to reach for it and it was missing. As I started to walk out of the water to look for it, I noticed it in my net, hanging about an inch above the water. I reached down to grab it and my movement was just enough to dunk it.
Kev A camera can take a licking and keep on clicking. I fell this summer in a local stream and the camera down with me, but after a week of drying it still works.
Clif, that is exactly how I felt. I couldn't even recreate that pictures if I wanted too. I'm not even sure how it was possible. It's like my camera was sliding out of the back at the same time I shut the hatch back and didn't notice it.
Wow. That made my heart skip a beat there....;) Lucky indeed! And glad the fishing was good!
ReplyDeleteholy sh*t! That's great.

I now carry a waterproof one.
No camera horror stories here. Yours was enough for me.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of those moments when you just stand there in disbelief.
