I decided to take the camera a long with me to the pond. I forgot the tripod attachment so I had the camera laying on my back pack. Not the greatest angle but at least it's something to watch if you can't get out and fish.
Kevin Really enjoyed the video--those were some nice gills especially the last one you landed --what wt rod was you using and was that a popper or a nymph the fish had its mouth? Thanks for sharing
Bill, that was my beloved 3wt St Croix Avid. The fly at the very end was a white size4 or 6 stealth bomber. I had caught a long and skinny bass before that fish. I really wish I got that on the video. The bass was busting shad near the bank. I threw the fly to where the wake was and in a few seconds the fish slammed the fly. Inhaled it too. Crazy thing, that gill pictured fought harder than the bass that was 3 times it's size.
Thanks Howard, it is very relaxing. That was actually a slow day at the pond. It always seems when I break the video camera out the fishing suffers. Usually the action is so fast and furious I could leave the camera running and never stop it. Actually all of those fish were caught in a 20min period but it was not the usual fish ever other cast type of day. There was a storm coming in and I think the fish were waiting for the rain.
That's a nice little video. looks relaxing and fun.
